These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Finanz.my website and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is operated by [Legal entity name], with registered address at [Registered address] (“we”, “us”). General enquiries: [contact email]. Replace bracketed fields before publishing.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may refuse access or close accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Finanz.my is a personal finance tool that lets you record and organise information such as transactions, categories, budgets, net-worth views, and imports from files you provide. Features may evolve; we may add, change, or remove functionality (including beta or experimental features).
Access may be limited while we run invite-only or waitlist programmes: we can restrict sign-up, activate accounts progressively, or suspend product access for certain users until eligibility criteria are met. Where this applies, we will communicate it in the product or by email where appropriate.
You must be at least the minimum age required to consent to online services in your country (and in any case at least 16 years old unless local law requires a higher threshold). You represent that you have capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
The Service is intended for personal or household use unless we expressly agree otherwise with you in writing.
You may sign in with email (magic link), Google, or other methods we enable. You must provide accurate contact details and keep access to your inbox secure—anyone with access to your email may be able to obtain sign-in links or codes.
You are responsible for activity under your account unless you notify us promptly of unauthorised use and we can reasonably verify it. Do not share credentials or attempt to bypass authentication or rate limits.
You agree not to:
We may investigate suspected abuse and cooperate with authorities where required.
You retain rights to the financial information and files you submit. To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display, and back up that content solely for providing and improving the Service (including automated parsing where you choose to use it).
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter or import and for maintaining your own backups when needed. Features that suggest categories or extract rows from documents (including AI-assisted parsing via Google’s Gemini API) may produce errors; you must review results before relying on them for decisions.
Do not upload documents you are not entitled to share with our subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy.
If you create or join shared projects, other participants may see project-scoped information according to the permissions you grant. You are responsible for inviting appropriate people and for content you contribute. We do not mediate disputes between participants.
Unless we notify you otherwise (for example at checkout or by email), the Service may be offered without a fee. We may introduce paid plans or limits in the future with reasonable notice where required by law.
Finanz.my’s name, branding, software, and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal purposes in line with these Terms. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Sign-in with Google and optional AI-assisted parsing are subject to Google’s terms and privacy policies in addition to ours. Merchant logos or other integrations may rely on third parties; their availability is not guaranteed.
The Service is provided for information organisation only. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We are not a bank, broker, insurer, or adviser. You remain solely responsible for your financial decisions and compliance with applicable regulations.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected. Where mandatory consumer laws apply, statutory rights are not affected.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we (and our directors, employees, and affiliates) are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) [amount / currency] or (b) amounts you paid us for the Service in that period, if any. If the Service is free, substitute (b) with zero and adjust (a) to a modest fixed cap appropriate under local law (for example one hundred euros)—replace this bracketed clause after legal review.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion is unlawful (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your content infringing third-party rights, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or must comply with law. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion where we offer it.
Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits to the extent enforceable, and governing law) survive termination.
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance; if you do not agree, stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [country / jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [city / courts] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you reside as an individual consumer.
If you habitually reside in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
If any provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of assets. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data and forms part of your understanding of how the Service operates.
